Hi Peter,

I’d love to participate! However, there are two problems/questions I have:

  • From what I understand by the “conference call” term, it would be a speech (e.g. spoken, like over a phone) conference? My problem is that my microphone doesn’t work and I haven’t figured out why yet :-/…
  • I don’t trust the Skype software (closed protocol and source, no data flow control, “dangerous” license etc., and from what I’ve read it does weird and undocummented things), so I prefer using open protocols and open-source solutions. If that would be a text-oriented conference, couldn’t we use some of the open protocols like Jabber conference or IRC?
