Updated Source Talk

Hello everybody,

There is already an updated version of the website. The changes regard only Source Talk:

  • Only a single “Re:” is added to the subject.
  • The original message is not included by default.
  • The MIME headers Message-ID, References and In-Reply-To are written in the notification email, thus enabling user-agents like Thuderbird and GMail to correctly show the messages in the threading view.

I hope the above contribute to a better user experience!

Bo, I’ll send you some infos regarding the post by mail feature. The solution may not be trivial because right now I cannot think of an easy way to authenticate users when posting per email. I guess we would have problems with spam if we allow anybody to post. Maybe someone would have an idea.

Let’s make a poll: How would you like to post to Source Talk?

  • I prefer to post on the Web.
  • I prefer to post via email.
  • I don’t care! Both work well for me.

Best regards,

Peter
