JXTA is actually about the design of protocols, which peers can use to communicate. Calitko is more about the design of software, which can use any protocol to communicate with other peers. When we have a stable implementation, we will work to improve the P2P technology as well.

We may decide to add JXTA support at some point in the future. Integrating the JXTA-C/C++ binding in Calitko would even be a nice test to see whether we’ve done our design well.
