Credits page policy

Hello everybody,

I’d like to announce the policy I plan to use when adding names to the Credits page and changing status from active to past/non-active.

An active contributor is everybody who submits a patch (bugfix, refactoring, new feature) that gets committed to mainstream code, or is active in Source Talk by doing source code inspection or contributes for improving the quality of Calitko by giving useful suggestions.

An active contributor is moved to the past/not active section of the Credits page if he or she has not been active (see previous paragraph) for the past month. After becoming active again, the contributor’s name is moved back to the end of the active contributors list.

So, the longer you actively contribute to Calitko project, the higher you’ll move in the active contributors list. Of course, the earlier you have joined, the higher you will have started. The whole idea of this policy is to motivate everybody to contribute at least a little each month and help Calitko move forward. We currently have over 40 registered developers and if each of them did one small thing a month, it would have been a great help overall.

Comments and suggestions are, as always, welcome!

Best regards,

Peter
